Yesterday b5media officially launched this blog. So if you’re new to Contract Worker, take a look at the right side; you’ll see a brief description of what this blog is all about: Showing why “Freelancing” Isn’t Just an F-Word Through Shared Experiences and Useful Info.
Allow me to explain further. A lot of people still have a wrong impression of contract work or freelancing, thinking it only involves selling your skills to the highest bidder; in short, turning your expertise into a prostitute for money (thus the F-word). I’ll show why this isn’t so, by presenting freelancing as a legitimately lucrative career option that allows improvement and growth.
I’ll do this by sharing some of my experiences as a freelancer, doing some interviews with fellow contract workers, and posting some useful things related to freelancing I find around the web. Hopefully, you’ll stay around while I try to make Contract Worker a definitive source of info on freelancing.
